The Wild Carrot is so common we hardly bother to look at it.  I have been observing the Wild Carrot since the fall of 2008.  I noticed how its seeds and umbel work.  This spring I began watching it again and noticed the pink fringe of its bloom.  Not all of them have the pink.  I really like the subtlety of the color.  We see so much green in the summer that I decided to show it in B&W except the pink.  I used my Sigma 105 mm f/2.8 macro lens for this shot.  I used Helicon Focus to combine 20 shots for adequate depth-of-field.
