I think the eyes are captivating.  I like the cattail leaves in the background.  Sometimes, I think that the dragonflies wait in line for their turn for me to photograph them.  

I use a Sigma 70-300 mm zoom macro lens with a 1.4x teleconverter.  I have two large flashes mounted near the front of the lens.  I use manual focus.  The rig is not well balanced and I mount it on a monopod to help control it.
