| This spider web looks unfinished to me. I don't
know if the spider came back to finish it or not. I do know or
have been told that creating a web takes many body nutrients from the
spider. Spiders will eat their webs to recover those
nutrients. I would guess that the spider did not abandon such a
good beginning spinning a web.
I used a Sigma 105 mm macro lens for this shot. The longer lens gives the blurred background. I like the variegated pastels. I used a tripod to hold the camera absolutely still. I literally held my breath during the shot because any air movement will create blur. |
